[edit]She is of Persian heritage, but does not liek this fact about her origins to be public knowledge/\

I read Kristine's ethnicity as half & half Caucasian / African - ala Mariah Carey. Whatever; it matters not to her presence on TV or anything else. What makes this girl great on the air is not just the hot look, but she has a soft edge that in my opinion can't be faked.
After NBC realizes they made a wrong turn with the "safe" choice of Meredith Vieira to replace Couric, somebody will mention to them that it's that soft / soothing vibe Katie had, that brought in all those viewers and billions. I don't know how Kristine would be in the various interview situations of the morning shows, but she's the only girl on the network TV landscape that has that exact quality Katie had. First network to realize that, is going to cash in on Kristine & make her a multi-millionaire in the process.
Kristine if you ever read your own Wikipedia, I hope you'll leverage the future stature you might acquire in TV, to move into truly objective & public-service programs and reporting. Today (4/12/06) for example, NBC had pretty much the same slanted story as the other networks "Iran 1 step closer to Nuclear Weapons".
Hello, they enriched uranium. You need to do that if you want nuclear power plants also (say maybe, to help raise living standards of an impoverished population) - a fact almost nowhere to be found in those reports. Project the hindsight if you will, on what Katie's career will look like to an observer in 50 years: All those millions in the bank from "Today", runs over to CBS for a few more million - only to spew more sensational garbage that's wrong and / or doesn't impact the nation (Duke Lacrosse team, Duke Lacrosse team!!).
Viewed in that light, Couric's career trajectory is turning rather pathetic...

I happen to know her parents. Her mother is Filipino and her father caucasian.

Thanks. Ask them to have her pull her Wiki page up if you would. I'd like to see just one of these rising media personalities, blaze a career path that tilts at everything which is corrupted about modern TV journalism.
As an aside, Katie had the Duke Lacrosse team non-story again last night - months after it's original insignificance to people beyond NC. LED with Duke Lacrosse team. Unbelievable.
Kristine, just say no...

Fair use rationale for Image:KJ 2007.jpg
[edit]Image:KJ 2007.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
